Continuando nuestra serie de videos de “Aprende inglés en 5 minutos a la semana” hoy os traemos uno nuevo explicando una de las asignaturas pendientes que tenemos respecto al inglés. Hoy nuestra querida Addie nos dará sus preciados consejos para saber cuando tenemos que usar cierto vocabulario sobre el cambio de peso.

This is English tips with Addie, my name is Addie and I’m here to explain English grammar and pronunciation tips get on well on your way to become fluent in English; this video I thought about because it’s april is nearly summer, and I know everybody is trying to get in shape, and sometimes we struggle about finding those words in English to what we are doing. So this video is about weight and health, and I’m going to explain you a few terms and expressions.
TALKING ABOUT HEALTH AND WEIGHT.
Weight, it’s pronounced /weid/ with no pronounced the d.
Overweight: this is when somebody is over the ideal weight, too fat, example: The doctor told me that I’m overweight, with this adjective we use the verb to be.
To lose weight: again I want remember we don’t pronounce the d. Example: I need to lose weight. And that means to reduce weight. In order to lose weight we sometimes go on a diet, going into a diet it’s to reduce the amount of food that you are eating. Example: To lose weight it is a good idea to go on a diet. It is very important to remember that we go on a diet, because depending on your mother language the expression can be different, so to go on a diet.
To gain weight: this means to increase your weight, to get fatter and to increase your weight. Example: I have gained weight since last year. To gain weight This is a comparison competing last year, so compare to last year I weight more than last year.
